#5: LATAM 2025 PART 1: New Snare, Fly Show Tips & Tricks and Breakfast
Compartir
It's been a couple of weeks since we got back from Latin America and, once again, it was a very memorable trip, full of ups and downs, great shows, amazing fans, incredible food but also debilitating food poisoning, too much flying, early starts and all-nighters. Thanks to everyone who came to a show and chose to support live music. It's a privilege to be able to do what we do, to travel to some of the furtherest corners of the world and have people turn up and enjoy our music.
Throughout the tour, I filmed a bunch of short clips, mostly just the highlights and some of my own experiences outside of the shows themselves. Don't expect any bells and whistles, this is just basic, long-form content you probably don't even need. And as hilarious and simultaneously mundane as checking in and out of airports and jumping on and off planes can be, I'm always more keen to capture the food, the sites and the elements that make each stop on the tour unique, so don't expect much show/band-specific stuff, but if you wanna see me running up a massive hill or learning how to drink yerba mate, then perhaps this little diary series will be for you.
This first part, however, focuses on the prep work I have to do to make sure I've got all the stuff I need for a tour of this nature. So if you'd like some insight into the particulars of my fly-show setup, this one might be of interest! Sadly, I forgot one crucial part of my Yamaha EAD10, so I couldn't capture the same quality of live video that I usually do, and I had to rely on some of the kind house staff at each venue to film from their phone at points throughout the set.

Ahh, I absolutely love these BTS videos and blog entries! It really is great as a fan to get such a glimpse into the Haken-life! Even if its mundane – especially the mundane – is still worth its way in gold to the fans that really do care! :D
That CHINA is a little off tune 😂
