Ray Hearne Pool Stage CTTE 2025

#4: CTTE 2025: Stomach Bugs, Art Class and Technical Difficulties

It's been a minute since I've posted anything on my blog. Here's a little snapshot of my time on Cruise To The Edge 2025, Haken's first live performances of the year and a great week of music and fun. I talk about managing a horrible stomach bug, enjoying the beautiful Caribbean, colouring in Yes album covers with Pete, dealing with technical challenges of our live shows and share some clips from the stage. Thanks as always to Cruise To The Edge for inviting us. It's always a great week and we really appreciate this unique festival experience, playing music and sharing good times with our friends and fans from around the world. Long may it continue!

Haven’t seen on your previous sets those sort of hybrid cymbals you used there, and they sound amazing. It would probably be cool to have a kit rundown so we can hear them alone.
Great video! Loved the isolated tracks you shared.

To add; Holy hell, I cant believe you finally played Deathless live again…
And getting some high-quality Drowning In The Flood audio like this (pretty much anything from Aquarius lmao) is literally my dream come true. Incredible!
But to be fair, any footage/audio like this is a gift to the community!

“If I dose up enough on Ibuprofen, I´ll feel alright tomorrow!”

This is literally every Haken fan´s wet dream! A look behind the curtains like this, including gear info/thoughts/worries/what you look forward to etc. – just your experience in general, on and off the stage – is so very captivating for fans to get some insight into!

TLDR; This was a fantastic video diary, and the humour was peak. Thank you!
